Export and shipping
The right transport mode depends on the product, its condition, the distance and the destination's rules. We propose the option that protects quality and fits your budget.
Road transport – chilled or frozen trucks
Within Europe and to North Africa we ship by temperature-controlled truck, chilled (around 0 to +4 °C) or frozen (−18 °C or colder), as the customer requests. Full and part loads are possible. Hanging carcasses travel on rails; boxed product on pallets.
Sea freight – frozen
By sea we ship frozen product in reefer containers. A container is on the water for a long time, and frozen meat keeps far longer than chilled meat, so frozen is the right choice for container shipments. Sea freight is also the most economical option for large volumes.
Air freight – chilled
Air freight is normally used for chilled meat: the flight is fast, so the product arrives chilled and in good condition. It costs more than road or sea transport, which is reflected in the price. Each air shipment is planned individually, subject to flight capacity, the importer's permits and the destination's requirements.
Shelf life – chilled and frozen
Shelf life differs from product to product. Frozen meat generally keeps for one to two years. Chilled meat keeps for about one week to ten days, and up to around two weeks for some products. The shelf life of your product is stated in the quotation.
Markets we serve
We work for buyers in Europe, North Africa and the Gulf. Europe: chilled or frozen by truck. North Africa: chilled or frozen by truck, or frozen by sea. Gulf: chilled by air and frozen by sea. Import conditions differ per country and change over time, so eligibility is confirmed per product and shipment rather than assumed.
